Athletic Trainer

This position involves responsibility for evaluating, preventing, recognizing and managing athletic injuries and illnesses among student-athletes to support their safe participation in athletics. The duties also include providing preventive conditioning training to coaches. The work is performed under the supervision of the Athletic Director. The incumbent may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Does related work as required. At the time of examination, you must have:
1. A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Athletic Training, Athletic Trainer or comparable degree; and
2. Possession of a current license to practice as an Athletic Trainer issued by the New York State Education Department. NOTE: A current New York State Athletic Trainer license must be submitted at the time of application.

There will be no written test for this examination. Your score will be based on an evaluation of your training and experience. To be considered, you must submit the required Training and Experience Questionnaire by 11.59 PM EST on December 31, 2026. The questionnaire will be available December 1, 2026.

Candidates must be legal residents of the States of New York, New Jersey or Connecticut at the time of application submission for the examination.
