Senior Grants Analyst

An employee in this class locates sources of federal, state or private assistance and coordinates the preparation of aid programs. The incumbent may assist County departments, municipalities, private non-profit agencies and elected officials in grant-in-aid research. Supervision is exercised over technical and clerical personnel. General direction is received from administrative supervisors. Does related work as required.

To be eligible, a candidate must now be serving and have served on a continuous basis with permanent or contingent permanent competitive status as a Grants Analyst for at least one (1) year in the jurisdiction in which the candidate seeks promotion immediately preceding the written examination date. Provisional time immediately preceding a permanent appointment to the same title(s) will be credited.

The written test will cover
knowledge, skills, and/or abilities in such areas as:
1. Preparing written material; 2. Understanding and interpreting written material; 3. Understanding and interpreting tabular material; 4. Evaluating conclusions in light of known facts; 5. Supervision.
