Nursing Care Supervisor / Nursing Care Supervisor Trainee

Candidates must possess and maintain a current New York State Registered Professional Nurse Registration and either:
(A) Three (3) years of licensed nursing experience, one (1) year of which shall have included supervising the work of certified, licensed, or registered nursing personnel; OR
(B) A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Nursing and two (2) years of experience in licensed nursing activities, one (1) year of which shall have included supervising the work of certified, licensed, or registered nursing personnel; OR
(C) Completion of a one-year traineeship in the title of Nursing Care Supervisor.

The only subject of examination will be an evaluation of your training and experience. You are asked to include in your application a summary of all pertinent training and experience in sufficient detail so that your background may be evaluated against the duties of the position. In your summary of training, include all college course work which was not a part of the Nursing degree program or which has not yet resulted in a degree, formal in-service training and seminars you have attended. You must specify either the number of credits received or the number of contact hours and dates of attendance. College *transcripts and training certificates must be submitted with your application if you wish to claim credit for college coursework, training, seminars or continuing education. *Transcripts downloaded from the Internet, grade reports or copies that do not identify the educational institution are unacceptable. In your summary of experience, you must specify the dates of your employment, the number of hours worked per week, your title, and the main duties for each position held including all supervisory experience. Be specific; vagueness and ambiguity will not be resolved in your favor. Candidates who submit incomplete applications or documentation may be disqualified.
