Technician Environmental Systems

EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience in the operation, maintenance, repair, and adjustment of heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, auxiliary equipment, related electric or solid state controls and wiring, and the conditioning of air and water in roof mounted units, boilers, and chilling systems, or other type of heating/refrigeration system. LICENSE: Appointee may be required to possess an Operating Engineers License of the appropriate grade and type issued by the New Jersey Department of Labor. Appointees will be required to possess a valid Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician Certification of the appropriate level, commensurate with the type of equipment serviced, issued under the authority of the Federal Environmental Protection Agency. Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform essential duties of the position. The responsibility for ensuring that employees possess the required motor vehicle license, commensurate with the class and type of vehicles they operate, rests with the Appointing Authority.
