What the job involves

An employee in this class is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the County’s Federal and State aid programs which are available to County departments and agencies. The employee is responsible for coordinating the programs in the best interests of the various municipalities and agencies through periodic conferences and reports. Supervision is received from administrative supervisors through periodic conferences and reports. Performs related work as required.

Minimum qualifications

To be eligible, a candidate must now be serving and have served on a continuous basis with permanent or contingent permanent competitive status as a Federal and State Aid Claims Coordinator for at least two (2) years in the jurisdiction in which the candidate seeks promotion immediately preceding the written examination date. Provisional time immediately preceding a permanent appointment to the same title(s) will be credited.

Subject of examination

The written test will cover
knowledge, skills, and/or abilities in such areas as:
1. Ensuring effective inter/intra agency communications; 2. Preparing written material; 3. Understanding and interpreting written material; 4. Understanding and interpreting tabular material; 5. Evaluating conclusions in light of known facts; 6. Supervision.
