Junior Project Engineer - Water Distribution

This is an entry-level engineering position involving participation in the design and construction of water supply facilities. The employee may perform field work and other related engineering support tasks. The employee works under the general supervision of a Project Engineer – Water Distribution or other senior-level engineering staff member. Supervision of others is not a regular responsibility of this class, although employees may direct the work of technical and support staff for specific projects.

Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class at the Monroe County Water Authority and must have served continuously for twelve (12) months holding the position of Engineering Technician or Assistant Construction Inspector immediately preceding the date of the written test. Provisional time served immediately before a permanent appointment to the same title(s) will be credited. A combination of time served in multiple titles sufficient to meet the maximum period of required service is also qualifying.
