Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator or Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Assistant (CR Exam)

Candidates must have been legal residents of the following jurisdiction(s) for at least four months immediately preceding the date of the written test: Livingston County, or One of the following Counties: Allegany, Genesee, Monroe, Ontario, Steuben or Wyoming Applicants must meet all requirements for one of the following qualification options in order to be approved for examination and/or appointment:
WATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR:
Town of Springwater: Possession of a Grade C Water Treatment Operator certificate. Villages of Avon, Dansville, Geneseo, Mt. Morris and Nunda: Possession of a Grade II-A Water Treatment Operator certificate.
WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR:
Town of York and Villages of Lima and Mt. Morris (Grade 2 plants): Possession of a Grade 2 Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Certificate. Villages of Dansville and Nunda (Grade 3A plants): Possession of a Grade 3A Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Certificate. Livingston County Water and Sewer Authority and Villages of Avon and Geneseo (Grade 3 plants): Possession of a Grade 3 Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Certificate. SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR ALL OPERATORS: Certification must be maintained in good standing throughout employment.
