Clinical Site Administrator (Correctional Health)

QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE FOR TAKING THE TEST : Candidates must be permanently employed in the competitive class and must be serving and have served continuously on a permanent or contingent permanent basis in the competitive class for 12 months immediately preceding the date of the written test in the position of a Job Grade 10 licensed nursing position within the Jail Management Division in addition, meet the following requirements on or before the date of the written test:
A) Possession of a Bachelor's Degree* in Nursing plus (5) years of clinical nursing experience and three (3) years supervisory experience (charge/head nurse, supervisor, manager) or: B) Completion of ninety (90) semester hours* majoring in Nursing** plus seven (7) years of clinical nursing experience and five (5) years supervisory experience (charge/head nurse, supervisor, manager): or: C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B). NOTE 1: *Your degree must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education. If your degree was awarded by an educational institution outside the United States and its territories, you must provide independent verification of equivalency. NOTE 2: **Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required within one (l) year of permanent appointment. NOTE 3: Verifiable part-time and/or volunteer experience will be pro-rated toward meeting full-time experience requirements. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Candidate must possess a license and current registration as a registered nurse in New York State at time of appointment; and Candidate required to pass a thorough background investigation; and A New York State driver's license or the ability to provide transportation to work locations with limited or no public Transportation.
